Amparo Heredia´s Biography and Career: A Journey Through Flamenco

Amparo Heredia is the daughter of flamenco singer Rafaela Reyes “La Repompa” and Madrid-born guitarist Luis Heredia, a combination that has provided her with a strong foundation in rhythm and musicality. Her stage name, “La Repompilla,” pays homage to her aunt, Enriqueta Reyes, known as “La Repompa de Málaga.”

Her career began with an international debut in Miami and New York at the age of 16, under the guidance of renowned Juan de Alba. It was in the United States and Mexico where Amparo started to forge her path, showcasing her art and leaving an indelible mark on the flamenco world.

In Spain, her first major step was at the Flamenco Conservatory Casa Patas in Madrid. Since then, she has been a constant presence on flamenco stages, collaborating with leading figures in flamenco dance and proving that her art knows no boundaries.
