Amparo Heredia “La Repompilla”, although she is from Malaga, was born in Miami in 1970. She comes from caste and has a long career at national and international level with a well-deserved cherry on top in 2021, as she received the prestigious award of La Lámpara Minera in the renowned “Festival del Cante de las Minas”. He also won the first prizes in cantes bajoandaluces, in malagueñas and por Mineras.

BIOGRAPHY

Amparo Heredia is the daughter of Rafaela Reyes “La Repompa”, the artistic name she inherited from her sister, her mother is also a singer and her father is the guitarist Luis Heredia from Madrid, the ideal mix from which the recipe for her sense of rhythm, her personality and her musicality is born.

It is obvious that she inherited her artistic name from being the niece of Enriqueta Reyes, known as “La Repompa de Málaga”.

She made her international debut in Miami and New York at the age of sixteen with Juan de Alba. For this reason she initially developed as an artist in the United States and Mexico.

In Spain she made her debut at the Conservatorio Flamenco Casa Patas (Madrid) and with her singing she has accompanied numerous flamenco dance stars. Although he has sung and sings for the back, he also sings for the “front”.

In 2007, Heredia performed with the artist Manuel Lombo on the catwalk commemorating the 60th anniversary of the House of Dior, held in the gardens of Versailles in France.
