NAME: Vanesa Campos

PLACE OF BIRTH: Málaga.

She was born in Malaga in 1976, daughter of artists, «La India» grew up surrounded by flamenco.

Vanesa studied at the Lucy Montes School, combining her training with top-level figures such as Antonio Canales, Juan Andrés Maya, Manole, among others.

At the age of 14 she began working in the flamenco group “Los Zorongos”.

Shortly after, she formed his own flamenco group called “Jara” with which she toured inside and outside Spain, having a great foreign reception both nationally and internationally.

She represented Spain in the first gypsy congress in the world in Germany, Munich. She was the main Dancer for the company of Juan Martín in Turkey. She dedicated a year in Canada touring tablaos and theaters. She has traveled to numerous Arab countries teaching courses and worked in very prominent and recognized Spanish tablaos such as Casa Patas in Madrid, El Carmen in Barcelona, ​​Albaicín in Granada. etc…

AWARDS: She was first prize in the “Torre del Cante Flamenco Dance” Competition. In 1998 she was a finalist for the Nacional de Córdoba. First prize at the Cristina Heeren Foundation. Fourth prize in the 2009 Cádiz pearl contest.
